Volleyball Recap: Bandys Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ariana Kearney and Camdyn Earnhardt

After a string of four wins, Bandys's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the North Lincoln Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Bandys was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.

Camdyn Earnhardt and Ariana Kearney certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Earnhardt had nine digs and two blocks, while Kearney had 13 digs and one assist. Earnhardt is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

North Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckenzie Swadley, who had seven kills, four blocks, three digs, and two aces. That's the most blocks Swadley has posted over her last eight games. Another player making a difference was Reagan Hare, who had eight digs and three aces.

Bandys' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for North Lincoln, their record now sits at 7-2.

Looking ahead, Bandys will be playing in front of their home fans against Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Lincoln, they will take on Alexander Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
