Softball Recap: Union Triumphs

While Union's victory against Seventy-First wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Falcons 17-16 on Friday.

Rachel Jackson was incredible, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with seven stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Hannah Mote was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs.

Union now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seventy-First, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Union beat the Falcons by a score of 19-13 later that day.
