Baseball Recap: East Liverpool Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Toronto, East Liverpool was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Minerva Lions. The win continues a trend for the Potters in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Donovan Shallcross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kooper Ramsey, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those RBI were his first of the season.
