Osceola and Gateway are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. The Kowboys will square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Osceola's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Osceola came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Harmony, falling 13-2.

Meanwhile, Gateway suffered their closest defeat since March 7th on Wednesday. They fell just short of St. Cloud by a score of 5-3.

Angel Escobar was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Osceola took their win against Gateway in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kowboys since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
