Basketball Game Preview: Mineral Point Pointers vs. Darlington Redbirds

The Mineral Point Pointers will head out to face off against the Darlington Redbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mineral Point will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Mineral Point humbled Boscobel with an 84-47 victory. Fans of the Pointers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, Darlington didn't have too much trouble with Fennimore on Tuesday as they won 59-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redbirds.

Mineral Point pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.5 points. As for Darlington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Mineral Point strolled past Darlington in their previous matchup back in March by a score of 56-38. Does Mineral Point have another victory up their sleeve, or will Darlington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
