Basketball Game Preview: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Dougherty Trojans

The Bainbridge Bearcats will venture away from home to face off against the Dougherty Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bainbridge will be strutting in after a win while Dougherty will be coming in after a loss.

Bainbridge is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Peach County: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Bainbridge's way against Peach County on Saturday as Bainbridge made off with a 52-32 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bearcats have posted since January 3rd.

Meanwhile, Dougherty suffered their biggest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Saturday. They took a blow against Monroe, falling 67-39. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.

Dougherty's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. As for Bainbridge, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.

Bainbridge couldn't quite finish off Dougherty when the teams last played back in January and fell 60-58. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dougherty's Jatiana Chambers, who posted 25 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.
