Volleyball Recap: Minatare Takes a Loss

Minatare was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Garden County Eagles. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12.

Madeleine Ramirez-Camargo paced Minatare's offense, picking up four kills. Ramirez-Camargo got some help from Saidey Garza and her three assists.

Garden County was led to victory by Kirstyn Beberniss and Ridglyn Stanczyk. Beberniss had 11 assists and four aces, while Stanczyk had seven kills and three digs. Stanczyk is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Minatare's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Garden County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Minatare wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Morrill on the 16th. As for Garden County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Paxton on the 11th.
