Soccer Recap: R.A. Long Takes a Loss

If R.A. Long was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Washougal last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Ridgefield Spudders who were credited with the victory on Thursday. The Ridgefield Spudders got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the R.A. Long Lumberjacks' four. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as R.A. Long came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Ridgefield are ranked 119th).

R.A. Long's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Ridgefield, their record is now 2-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. R.A. Long will face off against Mark Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ridgefield, they will take on Camas at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
