It was an underclassman who stole the show on Tuesday as Alexander Pond came into the contest on a mission. He wasn't messing around, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer walks.

Pond's strong effort led Estrella Foothills over Peoria and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
