Soccer Game Preview: Riverside vs. Bowie

The Riverside Rangers will square off against the Bowie Bears at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Riverside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Riverside managed to keep up with San Elizario until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Riverside came up short against San Elizario, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Bowie kept a clean sheet against Clint on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Clint from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Abraham Chaparro led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Bowie's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
