Basketball Recap: Mesa Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Mesa won the last time they faced Westwood, and Taylor Morris did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mesa Jackrabbits blew past the Westwood Warriors 56-23 on Friday thanks in part to Morris, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Presley Packer, who posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (two).

Mesa pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Westwood, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-22 defeat against Desert Vista on the 14th. Westwood has also already played their next game, a 40-32 victory against Gila Ridge on the 13th.
