Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Manhattan Homeschool CHIEF

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-56 victory over the DasCHE Spartans. Given Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 158th in Kansas, while DasCHE is ranked 581st in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, DasCHE still got an impressive performance from Jadon Comeaux, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Comeaux's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Liam O'Grady, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for DasCHE, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-17.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DasCHE, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Omaha R at 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday. DasCHE has given up an average of 62 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
