Recap: Judson Rockets vs. Clemens Buffaloes
The Judson Rockets had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clemens 66-39 on the road. Given Judson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Clemens is ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Clemens had strong showings from Anaya Williams, who scored 18 points, and Atiana Cook, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Judson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. As for Clemens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-12.
Judson will look to defend their home court on Friday against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. San Marcos is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road. As for Clemens, they will square off against New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Braunfels is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
