Madison Shaw turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than nine strikeouts on Saturday. She struck out 16 batters over 10.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.8 strikeouts per game.

Even though Shaw couldn't lead Fairfax HomeSchool over Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
