Basketball Game Preview: Euclid Panthers vs. Shaker Heights Red Raiders

The Euclid Panthers will face off against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Euclid's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Euclid will bounce into Friday's game after beating Medina, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Euclid snuck past Medina with a 68-63 victory on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Shaker Heights ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 57-51 win over Bedford. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Bearcats are ranked 101st).

Shaker Heights' win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Euclid, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Everything went Euclid's way against Shaker Heights in their previous meeting back in January, as Euclid made off with an 81-56 win. Does Euclid have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shaker Heights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
