Volleyball Recap: Peyton Roberts and Leah Kane Secure Win for Three Rivers + How To Watch

Three Rivers had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Niles Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Vikings back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Three Rivers was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 9-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Three Rivers was led to victory by Leah Kane and Peyton Roberts. Kane had nine digs and two aces, while Roberts had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Roberts has posted since back in September. Abigail Pettit also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Three Rivers' record is now 22-11-3. As for Niles, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Three Rivers and Niles could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Wildcats will face off against Edwardsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (94 vs. 33). Meanwhile, Niles (ranked 131st) will meet Mishawaka (ranked 46th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
