Recap: LaMoille Lions vs. Hiawatha Hawks
The LaMoille Lions won the last time they faced the Hiawatha Hawks, and things went their way on Wednesday too. LaMoille came out on top against Hiawatha by a score of 62-54.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LaMoille to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Martin, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Billhorn, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
LaMoille's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Hiawatha, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaMoille's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Earlville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Hiawatha, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. Indian Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 377 points over their last six matches.
