Baseball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

If Fort Lupton was riding high fresh off their 19-3 takedown of Jefferson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluedevils lost 21-1 to the Estes Park Bobcats on Tuesday. The Bluedevils have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Fort Lupton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josiah Gonzales, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Estes Park, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Lupton will welcome Frederick at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Estes Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Bobcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
