Baseball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-3 to the West Carroll War Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 15-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for West Carroll, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Carroll beat Humboldt by a score of 16-1 later that day.
