Soccer Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Richland's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Richland can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Americas Trail Blazers on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Richland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Americas are ranked 149th).

Richland's goal came courtesy of Dylan Speaks, who's now up to five this season.

The loss snapped Richland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-9-1 record. As for Americas, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Americas, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against El Dorado on the 31st.
