The Coconino Panthers will take on the Canyon del Oro Dorados in a tournament on Wednesday. Coconino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Coconino's tournament run continued when they took on Buena on Tuesday. Coconino fell 7-2 to Buena. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coconino saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Hanley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Canyon del Oro was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunnyside. The Dorados' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Gatlin Geile was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Coconino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Canyon del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coconino couldn't quite finish off Canyon del Oro when the teams last played back in April of 2018 and fell 6-4. Can Coconino avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
