Softball Recap: Riverside Beats Yorktown for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Riverside entered their tilt with Yorktown on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Patriots 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Ram, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Kaylee Kadans looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashley Bui, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lauren Enright, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Riverside's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Yorktown, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
