Softball Recap: Elkin Comes Up Short

Elkin fell victim to East Wilkes and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the East Wilkes Cardinals, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Buckin' Elks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Elkin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for East Wilkes, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Elkin will be playing in front of their home fans against North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Wilkes, they will square off against South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Wilkes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
