Softball Recap: Pavilion Comes Up Short

If Pavilion was feeling good fresh off their 20-14 takedown of Perry on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Gophers fell just short of the Keshequa Indians by a score of 5-4 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 back in April.

Pavilion has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Keshequa, their record is now 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pavilion will welcome Le Roy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Keshequa, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Avon at 7:00 p.m. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
