Soccer Preview: Southern Lee vs. Richmond        
        
		
             Southern Lee has been on the road for two straight, but  on Monday they'll finally head home. They will host the Richmond Raiders  at 7:00  p.m. Southern Lee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1  goals per game  this season.
 Richmond better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Southern Lee really get things going. Southern Lee put the hurt on Montgomery Central with a sharp  5-2 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won four contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
 They hit Montgomery Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Emerson Diaz (2), 
 Sergio Morales, and 
 Chino Cruz.
 Meanwhile, Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They fell just short of Terry Sanford by a score of  3-2. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings  (they are ranked 374th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 174th).
 Southern Lee's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Southern Lee came out on top in a nail-biter against Richmond when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, sneaking past  3-2. Will Southern Lee repeat their success,  or does  Richmond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
