Softball Recap: River Ridge/Scales Mound Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for River Ridge/Scales Mound's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Galena Pirates on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

River Ridge/Scales Mound saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laiken Haas, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

River Ridge/Scales Mound's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Galena, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

While River Ridge/Scales Mound had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
