Baseball Recap: High Tech NC Beats Bayfront Charter for Their Third Straight Victory

High Tech NC lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bayfront Charter, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Raptor's pitchers stepped up to hand the Sharks a 14-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Raptor might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Desmond McDonald was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). McDonald was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Shelton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Cole Sakowski was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The win was the third in a row for High Tech NC, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
