Recap: Link Academy Lions vs. Bartlett Panthers
The Link Academy Lions had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bartlett on Saturday and snuck past 43-41.
Bartlett lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zoey Rixter, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Rixter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Morgan Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Link Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Bartlett, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.
Link Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chadwick at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th. As for Bartlett, they and Collierville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Collierville will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Bartlett surely won't give up without a fight.
