Football Recap: Orestimba Skates Past Sonora with Ease

Orestimba waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 39-8 victory over the Sonora Wildcats. Considering the Warriors have won eight matchups by more than 20 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Orestimba didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Salece Machado led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Madelyn Perez is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Imelda Beltran-Pelayo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Orestimba's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
