While Malakoff's win against Edgewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers slipped by the Bulldogs 37-36 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the defeat, Edgewood saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hannah Mulligan posted 18 points and five boards. Mulligan has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Henlee Harper was another key player, putting up nine points.

Malakoff's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Edgewood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Malakoff and Edgewood will both be playing Winona the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Wildcats at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
