Basketball Game Preview: Granada Bobcats vs. Springfield Longhorns

The Granada Bobcats will square off against the Springfield Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granada has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matchups.

Last Friday, Granada didn't have too much trouble with Cheraw as they won 56-40.

It was another big night for Maddox Coleman, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando Cadena, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Springfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 49-45 to Swink. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Granada is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Granada might still be hurting after the 54-31 loss they got from Springfield in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Granada was down 32-7.
