Morton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Metamora Redbirds get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Morton's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Metamora, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morton will venture away from home to face off against East Moline United at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Metamora, they will head out to square off against Bloomington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
