Basketball Game Preview: Wooster Colts vs. Truckee Wolverines

The Wooster Colts will venture away from home to face off against the Truckee Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wooster is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Hug by a score of 69-59 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Colts with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Truckee can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past Sparks 67-46. The score was close at the half, but the Wolverines pulled away in the second half with 39 points.

Wooster has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Truckee, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Everything came up roses for Wooster against Truckee in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-28 win. Does Wooster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Truckee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
