Volleyball Game Preview: McLane Highlanders vs. Bullard Knights

The McLane Highlanders will head out to square off against the Bullard Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLane has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 20.

McLane came up short against Sanger on Thursday, falling 3-0.

McLane was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Bullard earned a 3-1 victory over Sunnyside on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Bullard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-17.

McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bullard, their victory bumped their record up to 29-8.

McLane suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bullard when the teams last played on April 10th. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
