Piedmont's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Monroe Redhawks get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ashlyn Pressley and Lilli Leopold made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pressley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Leopold pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pressley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 13 consecutive appearances.
