Softball Recap: Stewarts Creek Find Success

Stewarts Creek pushed their score to ten the last time they played Floyd Central, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. Stewarts Creek's pitcher stepped up to hand Floyd Central a 1-0 shutout. This was payback for the Red Hawks, who suffered a 13-10 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Samya Sandifer, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Floyd Central off the board. Sandifer has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Stewarts Creek's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Kloe Quigle was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.
