Softball Recap: Iowa City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Davenport North last Saturday, Iowa City came back down to earth. The Little Hawks fell just short of the Bettendorf Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Little Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in June of 2019.

Iowa City's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bettendorf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Iowa City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Center Point-Urbana on the 7th. Bettendorf has also already played their next matchup (against Mid-Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
