Basketball Recap: Brooke Mccartney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eastlake over Woodinville

Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 79-57 to the Woodinville Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Falcons are ranked first).

Eastlake lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brooke Mccartney, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Mccartney's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Roberts, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Woodinville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamryn Wille led the charge by going 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points and three steals. Hailey Quiggle was another key player, putting up 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Woodinville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-57 loss against Issaquah on the 25th. As for Woodinville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-33 win against North Creek on the 25th.
