Baseball Recap: White Knoll Takes a Loss

If White Knoll was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Camden last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The White Knoll Timberwolves fell 6-1 to the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers on Tuesday. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2016.

White Knoll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Woods, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Keaton Bennett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

White Knoll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Batesburg-Leesville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0-1.

While White Knoll had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
