Baseball Preview: Mendon Vikings vs. Batavia Blue Devils
The Mendon Vikings will take on the Batavia Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Mendon barely beat Canandaigua Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Braves 10-1 last Saturday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Mendon got a great performance from Ethan Postle as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Postle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
