Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

Hilton Head Prep won the last time they faced Patrick Henry Academy, and Courtney Campbell did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins put the hurt on the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots with a sharp 62-39 win on Friday thanks in part to Campbell, who dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 14 boards, and 11 assists. Her evening made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ava Zeoli, who posted six points and five rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Patrick Henry Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Laney Futch and Lillian Lucas. Futch dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards, while Lucas had 19 points and six rebounds. That was a full 48.7% of Patrick Henry Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Hilton Head Prep has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Patrick Henry Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
