Softball Recap: Morton Falls to Ralls in First Game of Season

Morton had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 23-4 to the Ralls Jackrabbits. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Alison Yanez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Miriam Vizcarra, who went a perfect2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Morton will look to defend their home field on February 18th against Petersburg at 5:00 p.m. As for Ralls, they will take on Fort Stockton in a tournament on Thursday.
