Preview: Cherry Hill East Cougars vs. Overbrook Rams
The Cherry Hill East Cougars will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Overbrook Rams at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Cherry Hill East is ranked 242nd, while Overbrook is ranked 226th).
After a string of three wins, Cherry Hill East's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Cherry Hill West.
The losing side was boosted by Denzel Lee, who rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, even though Triton scored an imposing 34 points on Thursday, Overbrook still came out on top. Overbrook snuck past Triton with a 38-34 victory. Winning may never get old, but Overbrook sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cherry Hill East now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Overbrook, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3.
