Softball Recap: Salem Academy Charter Comes Up Short

Salem Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Foxborough Regional Charter, falling 20-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Navigator have suffered against Foxborough Regional Charter since June 10, 2015.

Salem Academy Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dahiana Vicioso, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Vicioso has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Phoebe Jones also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Salem Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Salem Academy Charter will host Community Charter School of Cambridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Foxborough Regional Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
