Baseball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin suffered their biggest loss since March 2, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Dobie Longhorns, falling 9-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Having lost for the first time this season, Elgin fell to 3-1-1. As for Dobie, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Elgin Wildcats face off against Liberty Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Liberty has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Dobie, they will face off against Clear Creek at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
