North Providence saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Heon, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Heon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Davies Career & Tech made easy work of Classical on Thursday and carried off a 16-4 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 12 runs or more this season.
Davies Career & Tech let Madison Blanchette and Darelyn Maldonado run wild. Blanchette went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple, while Maldonado went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Gisele Roy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.
Davies Career & Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Davies Career & Tech's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Providence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
