It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Broughton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They beat the Leesville Road Pride by a goal, winning 2-1. Given Broughton's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Leesville Road are ranked 67th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
