Cienega is 10-0 against Nogales since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Cienega Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nogales Apaches at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Cienega narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Catalina Foothills 2-1.

Meanwhile, Nogales entered their tilt with Maricopa on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 2-0 shutout.

Carolina Renteria was the driving force of Nogales' attack as she scored both of Nogales' goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Cienega is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those seven contests. As for Nogales, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5-1.

Cienega took their victory against Nogales in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Cienega repeat their success, or does Nogales have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
