Hudson's Bay's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Woodland Beavers 10-9. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Owen Hewett, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Valencia, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Hudson's Bay's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Woodland, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5.

Hudson's Bay will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Beavers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
