Softball Recap: Navajo Pine Takes a Loss

Navajo Pine extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-17 in the process. They came up short against the Hozho Academy Wolves, falling 18-3. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 15 runs.

As for Hozho Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-5. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won 17 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Hozho Academy's part, Mika Jai and Nahliyah Morgan did most of the damage at the plate: Jai went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Morgan went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Morgan has posted over her last 12 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisa Longhat, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Navajo Pine nor Hozho Academy have any future games scheduled.
